The West Phoenician Congress voted for the formation of the Un-West Phoenician Activities Committee back in 2000.
The committee was created to investigate alleged disloyalty and subversive activities on the part of private citizens, public employees, and those organizations who pose a threat against the peace and stability of the nation of West Phoenicia.
The committee has the powers to bring to court those found guilty of such behaviour for imprisonment or death. The committee also have the power to shut down any political party or organization deemed un-West Phoenician that posees a threat to the ongoing peace of the nation.
While assisted by the Ministry of Homeland Security, it does not answer to that ministry.
The committee works alongside The West Phoenician Security and Intelligence Office.
Committee members are voted in by the West Phoenician Security and Intelligence Organisation and are approved by the Royal family.
A member is able to hold the position for life or until resignation or dismissed.
