Opinion polling for the 1900 Sallian parliamentary election took place from 25 May 1900 to 27 June 1900.

Poll results

Maiden poll

The first poll was taken on 25 May 1900. The results were released the next day, and they were:

  • Conservative Party - 355
  • Liberal Party - 208
  • Republican Party - 80
  • Others - 7

The main party leaders declined to comment, while the Leader of the Labour Representation Alliance Oliver Anderson said: "I don't live by polls. I am campaigning for a Labour majority government."

1 June poll

This poll was conducted on 1 June 1900. The results were released on 3 June:

  • Conservative Party - 369
  • Liberal Party - 229
  • Republican Party - 48
  • Others - 4

The Conservatives were rising steadily, as were the Liberals. The Republicans had lost support drastically.

9 June poll

This poll was conducted on 9 June 1900. The results were released on 10 June:

  • Conservative Party - 387
  • Liberal Party - 215
  • Republican Party - 41
  • Others - 7

The Conservatives rose by many seats, the Liberals and Republicans made losses, while minor parties and independents made gains.
