The Five Families of Macanoco refers to the five wealthiest and most influential in Macanoco. The families each have representatives in the Assembly as well as regular meetings with the Prime Minister and the prince. Originally the five families were the Mountkilpec Family (Royal Family of Macanoco), the DeMonte Family (a notable shipping family), the DeGiuseppe family (an ethnically lysian business family), The Almacco-Amalfi Family (Owners of multiple Construction businesses, galleries and theatres) and the Genova family (Major agriculture family, controls most of Macanoco’s vineyards). Today the DeMontes are called the Astorothsburgs as a wealthy Germanic-europan banking family married into and took control of their family-seat. This happened again with the Genova family, who are now called the Gennevston, family, after a Genova commited mass murder in a hotel in Euren, they have since moved into Stock Brokerships and insurances as they have sold almost half of their land to the other families.

The meetings of the Five Families are generally held at the families’ estates. These meetings dictated what would happen in Macanoco, the Macanocan Mafio was formed in one meeting, as well as the Athmos Holdings Group. Alexander Palace’s Amber room is a common meeting place for the group.
