The Hansan-Class Frigates (Zhenian: 한산급 호위함) are a class of a total of 64 operational and planned frigates built in Zhenia since the mid-2000s and onwards in numerous batches. Built to provide a reliable anti-air warfare and anti-submarine warfare vessels for the Greater Eastern Union Navy for the navy's fleet defense and ultimately supplement the Kim Shimin-class destroyers, they also assumed bigger roles in littoral and expeditionary fleets later on. To minimize the risk of such a large single procurement and ease the process of applying further advancements early on, the worload on the entire Hansan-Class was divided into four batches and were assigned to more than one shipbuilder, although the Greater Eastern Union Navy ultimately monitored the process thoroughly.

Armament

The Hansan-class frigates are armed with an array of multipurpose weapons with adaptability in mind. Its primary anti-ship firepower comes from 8 anti-ship missile launchers near the center of ships, although such space can be exchanged for 16 additional VLS cells in Batch II vessels. Its main gun is a 127 mm/54-caliber gun built by Raon Defense Industries, which allow for closer, more intense surface engagements. 2 Bushmaster 30 mm guns towards the aft as well as 4 12.7 mm RWS machine guns provide additional firepower against non-conventional and littoral low-intensity threats. The SkyGuard CIWS, featuring two 30 mm Gatling guns, can also engage surface targets autonomously, as well as the ship's final line of defense against anti-ship missiles.
