The Battle of Surnoque Archipelago was a battle between the Englean Empire and the Empire of the Tao, incorporating both amphibious landings and a naval battle around the islands. The battle was notable for its involvement of the two largest battleships in the world, the Englean SMS Kaiser and the Taoist Yashina. The naval battle began after the spotting of a Taoist battlefleet by a scout plane of the Englean-Talvistovan 25. Marine-Einsatzgruppe heading to intercept landing forces at Surnoque Island. It was reported that the Kaiser fired first, employing both her radar equipment and 20" guns, but missed her targets due to the range. The Talvistovan battleship Valmistaja was present at the battle as escort for the Kaiser, and was noted as participating in the action against the Yashina.
