Sampo Pitkänen Opera House

Creating Sampo Pitkänen Opera House is a Valkean opera house in the city of Våren Livet, also known as the Hesperidesian Theater.

History

In the summer of 1885, Ambassador Julius Granius Florens, who was a frequent theatregoer, received Gaius Manius's permission to build a theatre for Hesperidesians living in Våren Livet. The building was designed by the engineer Colonel Gaius Furius Ruso, though probably on the basis of standardized drawings The auditorium of the theatre was decorated by the Paradise City-born architect Quintus Sura, and the Valkean artist ??? decorated the ceiling paintings, which depict twelve dragons, reminding of the national coat of arms of the Empire of Exponent. The theatre was completed in March, 1888, and was named after Valkean Sampo Pitkänen.

The grand opening of the opera house occurred on August 23rd, 1888, with Marcellus Brabentius's The Prometheans.

In 1889 the Valkean-Hesperidesian Opera and Ballet moved to the Sampo Pitkänen Opera House, and remains at the premises to this day. The opera house is also frequently used for guest stage performances of various genre, and the building also houses different offices, rehearsal facilities, dance studios and different companies.
