The Ducal Institute for International Reconciliation (German: Herzogliche Institut für Internationale Versöhnung) is a Nidwaldester think-tank and foundation whose studies have been focused on International Relations and the Study of Resolution of Peace during conflicts across Astyria. It is currently headquartered in Cologne, capital city of Nidwalden, although it operates several offices in Carigrad, Monsa, Cadenza, Jakarta and Paradise. The organisation describes itself as a strong promoter of the peaceful resolution of conflicts and committed to the cooperation with other organisations and states for the construction of democracy and stability.
The Ducal Institute, as it is sometimes called, has been ranked as one of the most influential think tanks in Astyrian and as one of the most important in the field of international relations, being a big impulsor of the career in the University of Cologne and other Kiefern universities across Nidwalden. Since its creation in 1906, the Ducal Institute has worked along a large network of thinkers and prominent figures in the foreign scenario and its proposals have been argued at the highest national and international levels.
The current president is the Nidwaldester diplomat Marie von Thurn, former Minister of Foreign Affairs during the Torsten Heunicke. Among other members, the Prime Minister of Nidwalden, Charlotte Mann and the former PM Johan Wandel can be highlighted.
