The Palatium Hesperidesia is a building constructed during the Fascist era of the Exponential Empire. It is located on the Via Victoria, in the New City section of Paradise City.

History

The Palatium was designed by architect Marcellus Steelman in the early twenties to be a crowning piece of his newly created Victoria district, in the "New City" section of Paradise City . Work began on the building in 1929 and the inauguration took place on 28 October 1933 , in the presence of Communications Minister Umbertus Puppinius. The Palatium was damaged by a fire in 1988, but restoration work was quickly undertaken, returning the building to its former state.

Architecture

The style is typical of the fascist fascist and follows the in the traditions of Imperial Rationalism. The building covers an area of 5100 square meters, and is divided in a symmetrical manner around two lateral courtyards. The building, made of reinforced concrete, is covered by a gray marble from the Highlands of Hesperdesia. The front colonnade consists of 10 columns, each of which are 30 meters high. Another significant attribute of the building is the elliptical staircase, with a diameter of more than 9 meters.

The interior is styled in a standard model of the fascist age, highlighting the glories and advancesments of Exponential civilization. Numerius frescoes adorn the walls, divided into five sections, depicting railways, the navy, air travel, telegraph, and the radio, respectively. T

Originally on the right side of the building there was a large fasces , as tall as the entire building and also in marble, which was removed at the fall of the Brightglass regime and replaced with an Imperial cross.

Use

The building today serves the same purpose as it had in the past: the seat of the Communications Ministry. The building also doubles as a post office, as well as serving as the home of the Confederate Museum of Communications, which hosts frequent exhibits throughout the year discussing the construction of railways and telegraph posts throughout the dense jungle of Hesperidesia, as well as displays of the former and current postal service in the nation.
