Vongane is the capital and the largest city of Quetana, with an estimated population of 505,526 within its administrative limits in an area of 100.05 km2. Vogane's urban area extends beyond the city's administrative limits with a population of around 2.8 million people, being one of the most populous urban areas in Catica outside of Shen and Zamastan. About 3 million people live in the Vogane metropolitan area, which represents approximately 42% of the country's population. It lies on the coast of the Olympic Ocean.
Vongane is recognized as an alpha-level global city because of its importance in finance, commerce, media, entertainment, arts, international trade, education and tourism. It is one of the major economic centers on the continent, with a growing financial sector and one of the largest container ports on Catica's Olympic coast.
Vongane is one of the oldest cities in the world, and one of the oldest capital cities, predating other modern capitals by centuries.
