A União dos Mares or the Union of the Seas is a trading, finanical, and defense network in Gruppa4 - ruled by the current Imperador do Poder Temporário. The Union manages most trade and financial flows between the various security arrangments of Gruppa4, a neutral intermeditary to manage coordination between powerful blocs. The Union's territory is quite fluid - officaly having sovereignity only over the capital Aveleda - leasing out most of it's territories from other countries as trading ports. Nevertheless it manages the largest naval fleet in all of Gruppa4. The Union has lax economic and trade policies - helping develop a vibrant capitalist economy and preserving the stability of investors assets - becoming a base for most large mulinationals in Gruppa4. The Union today holds the wealthiest regions per capita in the entire world, however still remains extremely unequal. The nation hasn't developed any type of social safety net, with help to the poor provided by the church.
