Catherine II (Catherine Victoria Bowes-Fawcett; born 19 October 1950) is the Queen of the Kingdom of Albeinland.
Catherine was born in the Betfield Palace, being the eldest daughter of Edward VI of Albeinland and Queen Victoria, having your education along her two sisters at home. She remained throughout her childhood and part of her adolescence away from the media and royal activities under the decision of her own father, having a rigid school discipline and receiving an extensive early preparation for the day that she shall be crowned. In 1966, Catherine began to do public roles, becoming a frequent figure of royalty ever since. On April 12, 1972, at the age of twenty-one, her father the King died after pulmonary complications and the Princess - who was the presumptive heiress of the crown - became Queen Catherine II, with her coronation taking place in November of the same year.
Being one of the youngest monarchs to occupy the throne of Albeinland, Catherine managed to gain the popularity of the Albish people through its charisma, with the Chancellor Bernard Malfoy stating in 1971 that the then Princess "has a majestic and cheerful form, behaving like a fairy-tale Princess but also having the seriousness needed to be a good chief-of-state." Besides being Queen of Albeinland, Catherine is also the Duchess of Prinston, Baroness of Leonnia and Lady of Castelby.
Despite receiving so much praise for her charitable work and attributes, the Queen has already been severely criticized by her opponents claiming that she disrespects the monarch's neutrality instance on governmental and political issues by intervening in favor of political parties and groups with shares the same political thinking. The 1986 strike is being one of the most critical examples of this, leading to a growth of republicanism throughout Albeinland. Although there is an increase in the republican movement, Catherine managed to maintain the high popularity of the monarchy, having the support of more than 85% of the Albish population today.
The Queen is regarded as one of the most influential women in the history of Albeinland and has one of the longest reigns in the country's history, having been awarded with a Silver Jubilee in 1997 and a Ruby Jubilee in 2012.
