The Sumo Class or just simply Sumo are the hereditary nobility and warrior caste of Dohyo no Deshi. Individual Sumo are referred to as "Rikishi" and sit at the top of Dohyo no Deshi society. Since the inception of the sumo hierarchy system with Dohyo no Deshi which established the Sumo Society, the only way for one to achieve the status is by way of promotion through victory within the ring.
