Christopher Dawson (born March 15, 1956) is a Newreathen lawyer and politician who has served as the 51st Governor of Austin since January 10, 2012. A member of the Republican Party, Dawson is the first Governor of Austin in over 50 years to be elected Governor without holding any prior public office. He is also the second Governor to be the son of a Governor; his father, former President Matthew Dawson, served as Governor of Austin from 1996 to 2004. In order to easily differentiate between Christopher Dawson and Mathew Dawson, Christopher is often referred to as "C" or "Governor Dawson" and his father as "MD" or "President Dawson".

Governor Dawson, before entering public office as the Governor of Austin, was CEO of Dawson Industries, a company established by his father, former President Matthew Dawson who resigned as CEO when he became President in 2004. Christopher expanded the company by entering new industries such as real estate and finance. Christopher Dawson has been creditted with bolstering and strengthening the finances of the company and making it one of the most profitable companies in the country.

In February 2020, Governor Dawson announced his intention to run for President of the United States of Newreath. He entered the Republican primaries and was immediately considered a strong contender and front runner. On Tuesday 17th April 2020, Dawson secured the number of delegates to win the nomination following his primary win in Hennessee. That evening, Senator Reynolds conceded defeat and endorsed Dawson for the republican nomination. As of 17/04/20, Christopher Dawson is the presumptive republican nominee for President. Christopher has stated that, if elected President, he will resign his position as CEO of Dawson Industries in favour of his eldest son, Michael Dawson.
