Royal Tennai Airlines, often shortened to RTA, is the flag carrier airline of the Kingdom of Tennai and the largest airline in the Tennai based on fleet size and by passengers carried. The airline is based in Choudra near its main hub at Aminjikarai Aishwarya Airport.
Royal Tennai Airlines Board was established by the Tennai government in 1967 to manage the two nationalised airline corporations, Royal Tennai Airline and Tennaiite International Airways, and two smaller, regional airlines, Southern Airways, from Pandimalai, and Vahda Airlines, from Saroornagar. On 18 March 1970, all four companies were merged to form Royal Tennai Airways. After almost 40 years as a state company, Tennai Airlines was privatised in July of 2009 as part of a wider privatisation plan by Queen Bipasha. The carrier soon expanded with the acquisition of Tennaiite Naga Airlines in 2010, followed by Ashali Air in 2012, and Tengyl International in 2014.
Royal Tennai Airways is a founding member of the Siduri Star airline alliance, along with Gyliair. The alliance has since grown to become the largest airline alliance in Tyran and largest airline group in terms of annual revenue.

Royal Tennai Airways shares have been publicly traded on all Tennaiite stock exchanges since 2009 . In addition to floor trading, it is also traded electronically using the EdVence system. It is a HIF index share and is listed in the Tennai Stock Exchange’s Prime Standard. In its annual report for 2014, Royal Tennai Airways reported around 60% of its shares were owned by institutional investors and around 40% by private individuals.

First Class
First Class is offered on most long-haul aircraft. Each seat converts to a 2 metres (6 ft 7 in) bed, includes laptop power outlets, as well as entertainment facilities. Meals are available on demand. Royal Tennai Airways offers dedicated First Class check-in counters at most airports, and offers dedicated First Class lounges in Aminjikarai, Koldari, and Hampi as well as a dedicated first class terminal in Aminjikarai. Arriving passengers have the option of using Royal Tennai Airlines First Class arrival facilities, as well as the new Welcome Lounge. Royal Tennai Airlines has introduced a new First Class product aboard all of its long-haul aircraft.
