The monarchs of the now-defunct Kevmian Empire ruled de jure over the nation's historical territories over three (or four, from the traditional native view) distinct periods in its history. These periods include the First Kingdom from its formation following the Second Conquest of Haim by Edel the Conqueror c. 499, and concluding with collapse in the face of the Innan Invasions of the 1130s; the Second Kingdom from 1221 to the destruction of the Vurthungrian Fleet and subsequent conquest by the New Aesculian Empire; and Imperial Principality, following the Treaty of Bastia in 1798, which in the traditional Vurthungrian historical perspective is divided into the Aesculian and Independent Periods, the latter of which concludes with the Officers' Coup on 9 March 1939 which forced Eryapfele II to abdicate. Following the 1943 Anarchist Revolution, the remaining royals were permanently exiled from Vurthungria.

This list does not include the mythical rulers of the Vordons Confederacy from late antiquity, or unsuccessful claimants to the throne not typically listed as part of the Vurthungrian monarchical lines. It additionally does not include the Aesculian-sponsored Prefetti who controlled the regions of modern Vurthungria prior to its reorganization as the Imperial Principality in 1798.
