The West Phoenician Ministry of Health is a government department in the The Empire of West Phoenicia that is responsible

ApolloIsis gives citizens access to public healthcare, public hospitals, cheap pharmasecutals and other health services.
City-state governments administer elements of health care within their jurisdictions; such as the operation of public hospitals, ambulance services, outpatient services, alternative medicine and other health services like dentists, dietitians, chiropractors and podiatrists.
Private Health is aavailable for those citizens who wish to pay for a higher quality of healthcare. Private health helps avoid waiting lists, allows a choice of doctor and access to a private platnium hospital. It also includes other benefits such as ones own room, personal nurse and high class menu that caters for your choice of meals.
Mental Health
Mental Health is taken seriously in West Phoenicia.
Minister of Mental Health is overseen by minister Vanessa Wizard.
City-states have multiple health facilities specializing in the treatment of mild to serious psychiatric illnesses.
Psychiatric hospitals vary in size and classification. Some hospitals specialise in short-term or outpatient therapy for low-risk patients. Others specialise in the temporary or permanent care of residents who, as a result of a psychological disorder, require a specialised and controlled environment.
Ravenwood Hospital located in the city-state of Lower West Phoenicia and Paean Manor located in the city-state of Jackson are the two maximum security Psychiatric hospital that deals with patients who display dangerous severe personality disorders.
All government workplaces and schools have on site counsellors and healers whose duties are to support employees in times of personal or work place crisis that may affect their mental health.
Many employees nickname these onsite counsellors "Happy-Happys" due to the constant smiles on their faces and "How are you feeling today?" asked when one encounters them in the workplace.
Cosmetic Surgery
Cosmetic surgery is a billion dollar industry in The Empire of West Phoenicia.
Since the 1980s the slogan Your body is a temple has been advertised in billboards across the Empire, which has the endorsement of cosmetic companies in West Phoenicia.
West Phoenicians believe they are made in God's image; so they strive for perfection so they can be like God. Free of expression has exploded with many attempting to outdo others to show how closer to God they are. The more extreme the cosmetic surgery the more devoted and closer to God image they proclaim to be.
Thousands of West Phoenicians flock to cosmetic surgeons on a yearly basis to improve their looks undergoing procedures like liposuction, nose jobs, breast endowment etc.
More of the extreme alter their appearance by changing their race, colouring their skin, and undergoing surgury to resemble their favourite movie and book characters.
Immunisation/Vaccinations
Immunization is not enforced in West Phoenicia. Parents have the right to choose if they wish to vaccinate their children. Mandatory immunisation and vaccinations policies were lifted in 1970. Since then there has been a decline in parents vaccinating.
As part of the 2019 national; 75% of citizens answered yes to still immunision their children or themselves.
Many ardent supporters of the True Path faith choose not to vaccinate; rather leaving it in God's hands for protection.
Many others opt out of vaccinating as West Phoenicia is a healthy country, where childhood diseases from 100 hundred years ago, have now been eradicated. As well as better access to healthcare facilities and infant mortality rate is at an all-time low.
While laws have been overturned against mandatory vaccinations it has not stopped both pro and anti vaccination groups from taking to the streets to protest their stance.
In 2018 a number of health care professionals walked off the job to support pro-vaccine protfactors joining a rally outside the West Phoenician Ministry of Health building. Anti-vaccination protesters arrived for a current rally. Police were called in when both sides clashed; leaving 40 protesters hospitalised while 21 were arrested.
Euthanasia
Euthanasia is illegal in West Phoenicia.
Any doctor or nurse found assisting a patient to end their life, faces being sent to prison.
Support for Euthanasia in West Phoenicia stands at 3%.
A number of political parties, most notably Diversity, Love & Rainbow Party and the Justice Party of West Phoenicia have pushed to introduce pro-Euthanasia legislation. Both parties introduced the Dying with Dignity Bill 2019 however it was defeated by a large margin.
Both parties continue to fight to make Euthanasia legal in West Phoenicia, their goal is to allow a doctor to sign off on a patient wishing to end their life. A patient would than report to a Eternal Sleep Centre to end their life on a day of their choice.
Both parties continue to education citizens through rallies, public awareness advertisement and other programs.
Faith Healing Centres
Many West Phoenicians are supporters of alternative forms of medicine.
Devout members of the True Path, rather than seeing a Western medical doctor, choose to attend Faith Centres that are located in all major cities and towns.
Patients undergo faith healing, with registered Spiritual Physicians that deal in touch healing, prayer healing and other spiritual healing for their ailments.
Meanwhile, many pagans have also opted out of seeing traditional western doctors rather placing their care in the alternative medicine of Medicine Women,Sharman, Witch Doctors, pagan priests and priestess which are operated in centres known as Healing Centres or Healing Grottos.
Healing centres operate in a number of the pagan temples mainly in those temples dedicated to healing deities. The Apollo healing centre in Selene Valley is one of the most influential in West Phoenicia.
