Ana is a national personification of Gylias.
History
The image of Ana appeared during the Free Territories, through a cartoon that depicted a young girl playing hopscotch amid a ruined city. The cartoon struck a chord among the public, and spread as a visual summary of the Liberation War experience, where violence and destruction coexisted with anarchist organisation and utopian experimentation.
It is unknown how the character came to be named "Ana". The most common theory is that the name was derived from "Gylias", adapted into a feminine name, though she predates Gylias.
Description
Ana is a young girl with blonde hair, wearing a blue and white dress, a straw hat, and red shoes. She is portrayed as plucky, lively, cheerful, and energetic, with occasionally clumsy tendencies.
Depictions of Ana as a national personification tend to be concentrated in popular culture, educational contexts, and public information campaigns. She is generally absent from official government symbols in order to avoid associating her with politics.
As the child counterpart to Lisa, Ana is more associated with the Free Territories, while Lisa is more associated with modern Gylias.
