Background

The Second World War caused deep political and social divisions with Malgrave, those who fought with and indoctrinated into the forces of Nazi Germany blamed the Monarchy and the Malgravean democratic system for the countries defeat and subsequent forced alliance with Nazi Germany and sought to create a military dictatorship which according to them would avoid the mistakes of the democratic disease, they were joined by similar fanatics which had been converted towards communist beliefs by political commissars of the Soviet Union, they saw the monarchy corrupt and accused democracy of catering to the wills of the wealthy and noble classes and blamed it for causing Malgravean defeat during the early stages of the Second World War.

Demonstrations and riots soon followed in the border regions of the new country populated by mostly working class families an action which forced the Royal Marines and Army to be dispatched to dispel the situation, instead of quieting the situation however violence instead moved into the shadows. On the 2nd of December 1945 a member of the Territorial Defence Force was murdered whilst patrolling construction efforts in Epping, this date is called the official start of the insurgency.

Operation

It was long decided that no single well planned assault could end the insurgency, as conventional methods undertaken by the Royal Marines and Territorial Defence Force had proven ineffective in dealing much needed decisive blows to the enemy and were frankly taking too long to come up with the much needed results instead an attack on multiple layers was needed and after several years of intelligence gathering several informations of the Special Investigative Service managed to worm themselves into both the New Malgravean Communist Party and the Malgravean People's Party.

Connections were made with people in both organisations who troubled by recent defeats and worried about the eventual potential collapse of the organisation made a deal with the Malgravean Government. In return for helping both agents influence the leadership of the organisations into establishing a meeting on neutral ground several medium to low ranking members of the organisation would be granted immunity and allowed to enter politics granted they join less extremist parties that advocated peaceful means of political, social and economic reform. Once the time and location of said meeting had been discovered three Avro Sparrows of the Royal Malgravean Air-Force were deployed, each launching a salvo of air-to-surface missile that destroyed the structure and killed all inside.

Aftermath

Upon hearing of the destruction of the leadership and the subsequent planned surrender of the medium and low ranking hierarchy of both the New Malgravean Communist Party and Malgravean People's Party thousands of armed members of the organisation surrendered themselves to members of the Territorial Defence Force taking advantage of a temporary deal that expanded the forgiving of sentences in return for ceasing extremist political activity and instead focusing on more peaceful methods of achieving desired political and economic reform. In the aftermath of the successful military operation Prime Minister Rachel Berry's popularity exploded rising from it's previous level of 68% reaching an all time high of 93% before falling to a still high level of 84%, some claim that the operation has created a virtual cult of personality for the young Prime Minister.

Country: Reaction:

The Kouralian Broadcasting Corporation offered congratulations to those responsible when they first covered the news, while Crown Princess Elena Campbell is alleged to have said on the subject, 'Personally I think a flight would have been a better choice...more impressive a message, that way.'
File:Lubbyflag1.png Lubyak The Dominion's official statement on the matter from Foreign Minister Octavia von Clef was to congratulate the Malgravean government on the quick end to the insurgency. In the statement, Minister von Clef said that, "The quick and decisive actions of the Malgravean government to terminate the leaders of this insurgency have no doubt prevented much in the way of future conflict. No doubt hundreds of lives and untold quantities of government resources have been saved by the successful conclusion of this mission."
