The Type 65 chassis is a common chassis built by the Alderia Armaments for the purpose of heavy duty armored vehicles, tanks, and self-propelled guns. It in service systems usually range from weights between 40-50 tonnes. It is based almost entirely off of the T80125 chassis. It features a standard Pantra S30 V12 Turbodiesel engine producing 700 horsepower. Larger engine options are available for specific needs a vehicles and the chassis can be manufactured in several lengths depending on the vehicle. Hydrostatic transmissions, hydropnuematic suspension, and several types of available tracks come standard.

Type 65 E

The Type 65 Electric chassis is an experimental design employing hybrid technology. The chassis is only capable of taking vehicles that are 10 tons or below due to battery limitations. This was strictly an experimental concept that employed a Pantra S15 V6 Bi Turbo Diesel engine along with two smaller electric motors on each return sprocket and a lithium-ion battery. Regenerative braking technology to charge the batteries was also featured. The Type 65 E was strictly a technology testbed for military use of hybrid drives in lightweight vehicles. No designs will be based off of the Type 65 E and it will not enter active service.
