Army Group Gamma was an Army group of the Syaran National Army during the Zemplen War. Army Group Gamma was responsible for operations in southern Ruvelka. Army Group Gamma was formed in August 2008 during the August Offensive and thereafter took part in Operation Aspis. The Army Group's advance was halted by stiff Ruvelkan resistance among the foothills of the Kurilla and Matra Mountains. In February 2009 the formation began the Siege of Aszód. Although it badly mauled the Ruvelkan Fifth Army, it was unable to secure the surrender of Aszód resulting in a protracted siege. Limited in it's offensive capability due to the mountainous terrain it was facing, Army Group Gamma was limited to small scale offensives, while battling attempted infiltrations from Ruvelkan Fusiliers operating from Mansuriyyah. It was forced to abandon it's position and retreat during Operation Homefront, and was officially stood down shortly after the conclusion of the war.
