Angpern was a city and eponymous kingdom during the Greindrifa in Svoyen from 1314 to 1559. It emerged as the capital of a kingdom during the decline of the Second North Sea Empire when Agner Stenstang extracted tributes from the people living along the southern coast, most notably Sandsvaer and Vermland.
Angpern was most powerful during the Third North Sea Empire, during which it gained control of overseas territories such as Caldia.
The city was reduced in size greatly during the Skredderstat as traders moved away towards the coastal cities. After a fire in 1603, the city was abandoned by the ruling family.
