There are at total 21 registered national political parties in Manchuria. 9 of these parties have seats in the National Assembly. Political parties must be registered to the Electoral Commission, have at least a hundred members, and have no history of violence or inciting hatred. Smaller parties exist but they tend to be provincial in scale and are considered at best by the public as either ineffective or as a joke party.
