Yimanga
The Free Land of Yimanga is a large, socially progressive nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape and absence of drug laws. The compassionate population of 75 million Yimangans enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.
The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 9.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.
The sizeable but underdeveloped Yimangan economy, worth 2.87 trillion Yims a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with major contributions from Gambling, Soda Sales, and Pizza Delivery. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 38,250 Yims, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.3 times as much as the poorest.
School lessons are constantly interrupted by 'teacher needs a break' time, the government recently donated a surfboard to an impoverished family in a landlocked region, court cases mostly involve lawyers shouting questions at witnesses giving silent shrugs, and the government provides its citizenry with the same mass produced rations. Crime is relatively low. Yimanga's national animal is the Goose, which can occasionally be seen dodging aircraft in the nation's cities.
Yimanga is ranked 181,973rd in the world and 9th in WEG Secret Society for the High Class for Largest Retail Industry, scoring -7.48 on the Shrinkwrap Consignment Productivity Index.
