THE FABULOUS ISLAND OF BASLIE

                                           About the Island Baslie

Baslie is a besutiful island located in the Mediterranean Sea. It's named after our country's nations flowers, Bouvardia. These beautiful flowers grow all over our islands, unfortunelty they cant be bought or taken off the islands. Our nations animal is the Okapi, also known as the forest giraffe. They are sadly endangered, but thanks to our citizens, we have come up with ways to keep them safe. Our state food is dragon fruit. It's delicious taste is jaw dropping, just one bit can make you want to eat thousands of them.

                                               The Capital

The nations Capitol is Aussiny. It is located off the coast of Italy and Greece, which is also one of our most popular islands. Tourists love Aussiny msotly because of the fun attractions and beautiful sunsets. During sunset, you can see the outlines of Italy's cities in the blurry haze. Something everyone loves when they visit, is the fast and adventurous mountain cliffs. The island has been cleared of any dangerous rocks, especially in the water. You can take few hours out of your day and join a group of experts cliff diving, volanco citing, and even visit the nations flower gardens. The gardens are filled with Island Baslie's most precious and stunning plants, just for your entertainment.

                                                 Languages

The nations language is mostly Italian, but we also have many citizens who speak Greek, Spanish, English, Japanese, Bohemian, and Hindi. Our island is very diverse and has so many other languages, these just happen to be the most commonly spoken languages on our island at the time. However we have our own language called Pannatutswae, which since the culture has changed over time, most citizens don’t speak the language anymore. Our unique language,Pannatutswae, was named after one of our nations founders. Our nations founder, Pannai Swaneei, was an explorer who sailed from Tuscany,Italy to Aussiny, Baslie.

                                               Our nations flag

Our nations flag is very colorful, and each color represents something to our islands of Baslie. We have a hand drawn beautiful flower, which is our nations flowers. They give wisdom and hope to those who need guidance. On the side of the flag we have or nations name, Island of Baslie. The green boxes on each side represent famous animals that are drawn to the colorful flowers. An examples is that our butterflies of Baslie are attracted to the green flowers which help our citizens believe that anything can lead down a certain path. The orange boxes however, represent us which is united, so that we can always be strong and always help each other. We mostly chose this color because it was combines with red and the happiness parts of yellow. It shows creativity, determination, success, and loyalty to one another and our country.

                                         Description about Baslie

Baslie is a country located off the coast of Italy and Greece, in the Mediterranean Sea. Our government in Baslie is Republic, meaning we have a form of government in which our citizens elect and choose their leaders. Our current leaders are President Tusacano Baliua and Motunia Pan’de la Marini. President Baliua is well known for trading with other countries such as Jonafultaria and Ambronasia, which our major allies of our nation.

Over the years our etymology, has changed quite a lot. We originally used Italian, but when we officially became a country of our own, we started a language called Pannatutswae. An example is, in Italian the word beautiful means bellissimo(a), but in Pannatutswae it is bessiliz’De agglensis. Next is our geography which is very intriguing. It starts out by saying we are seven islands in the Mediterranean Sea, while some are smaller than others all of our nations are equal in every way. We have many hills, lots of rain and sunshine, volcanoes, a couple of mountains, and many waterfalls. We are in Mediterranean Chaparral biome. The climate near us is rainy, sunny, and in higher elevations it drops to around 65°F although during the day it can reach up to 107°F.

                                               Military

Baslie has a very specific military system. To be accepted into the army or enlist you have to pass a least 16 out of the 19 we have. Our nation wants and deserves the best of the best and in the eyes of many leaders throughout history, they though the exact same thing. Our military is one of the last people in our country who actually speak the language Pannatutswae, which most people don’t know that only our nation knows how to speak it. Technology wise, we use computers, personal database chips which go with everyone’s key cards. On the other hand our transportation is top secret. The only people who know about our transportations are the ones we are trading with or in supervision of the transportations. Jonafultaria, Ambronasia, and United Nation of Kendaii. Together we have traded over thousands of foods and resources including coal, steel, aluminum, iron, and even nickel. Usually, we trade with other countries by flight or cars, however, we like to occasionally transport items through ships. When we do transport by ship we use the Bari Port in Italy to hold our resources while we prepare for the trip.

                                               Ancient History

Before writing, ancient people used to communicate by talking or tapping sticks on something to make a certain sound. By tapping the stick harder on something it was more of an harsh sound with was used to emphasize in a sentence. On the other hand, tapping the stick more easily resulted in the stick causing an echoing sound or even a minor bird chirping replica. If you were really angry you would use many different sticks, of shapes and sizes, which caused many different sounds. This originally started when explorer Potenuine Ve Camelonieua was angry at one of his crew men and hit a stick against a wooden ship, leading him to believe that when you hit something against something in different ways, you get multiply results.

Before anyone was writing, the area was more peaceful and kids would be more up to exploring the islands. Kids from a young age, would be taught how to sail and hunt, including boys and girls. Many other countries who colonized didn’t exactly like the fact that girls would be allowed to sail, but we wanted to set history and make it to be as fair as possible. While kids would be learning how to hunt, prepare, and do many other activities, Adults would be either teaching the children or help gathers and create different ideas for their colonies.

                                             Medieval History

An explorer named Pannai Swaneei sailed from Tuscany,Italy to Aussiny, Baslie. It took him almost four months to arrive and discover our nations beautiful and unique Island of Baslie. At the time is was called The land of Pannai, which most of the other members didn’t appreciate as much as the explorer did. Soon the islands discovered became known as The Islands of Baslie. Many people were lead to believe that we had a monarchy at one point in time, which is not true. However, the colonists at the time did treat Pannai Swaneei almost like a king. Some of our important resources though were timber, copper, water, and some of our delicious fruits grown on the islands. The colonies did trade though with many others before only trading with a few, mostly because we needed more to survive off of.

While many people however thought of Pannai as royalty, many others didn’t. This lead to a minor civil war within our nations and divided us into two different sides. The royals and the fairest. The royals sided with and fought for “king” Pannai Swaneei who didn’t exactly care about much at the time of this event. While the fairest fought for their country to be united and without a king like figure in the way of that. They fought for almost a decade until this king like figure soon left and headed to find a new nation. Soon after that, the colonies became united again and started to elect leaders to represent them, called Presidents.

                                                Religion

Baslie’s religion is called Balismuniums. In this religion, when you turn 17 you receive our holy sacrament of Watershiulous. Watershiulous is where you walk down an isle with your family in a single file line. Next, the child receiving the sacrament of Watershiulous will walk toward the Prime Minister and will be sprayed with our island made holy water. Our holy water comes from one of our nations flowers mixed with the ocean water which is then blessed. After you are blessed by the Prime Minister you walk back to your family places into a seating arrangement, organized by your family’s group numbers or last names. Throughout this process, you will be approved by the board of ministries in our country. When you receive 5 of the 9 votes, then you will then be apart of the Balismuniums community forever as a member and adult who can vote decisions.
