The Senate of Kurton is the lower house of the Kouralian legislative branch of government. It is made up of five hundred elected Senators who are generally organised along party lines whose role is to represent the interests of their constituencies in national government and to hold the government to account through committees.

Senators
A Senator is the highest elected official in the Crown Union, and is considered to outrank all Councillors, Assemblymen and Mayors. They are elected for a term of five years by all citizens of voting age within that electoral district.
