The Apilonian Railroad Corproation (ARC, operating under the trading name ApiRail) is a passenger railroad service that provides mediu and long-distance intercity service across the Kingdom of Apilonia, and to several Layartebian cities. Founded in the 1960s by an Act of Parliament, as a public-owned corporation ApiRail receives signfiicant Ducal and Crown subsidies but is managed as a for-profit organisation, however His Majesty's Government owns all of the corporation's stocks. ApiRail services hundreds of destinations in every contiugous Duchy, operating more than three hundred trains dailys over tens of thousands of kilometers of track, and serves over thirty million passengers and more than $3 billion in revenue.
