Tony Idai is the founder and owner of IDAItech, a successful software firm based in Brytene. He is widely regarded as one of the brightest minds in Brytene when it comes to engineering, programming, and technological progress.

Biography

Early Life

Tony Idai was a prodigy even in his youngest years, and excelled at school. By the age of 12, he had developed a prototype of his Dragonhide armour system, inspired by the bulletproof armour of Manbat, a popular comic book hero.

He presented this prototype to Norubunga Kuribayashi, then-head of the Kuribayashi Arms conglomerate. Kuribayashi was impressed and sponsored Idai's education, whilst allowing Idai to work part-time for the Kuribayashi Arms development team.

IDAItech

By the age of 20, Idai's ambition was starting to outgrow Kuribayashi Arms. Norubunga was unwilling to grant him funds and free reign to explore what Norubunga saw as 'vanity projects', and it was only Norubunga's death in 1990, at the age of 72, that prevented him from leaving to set up a rival firm.

The new CEO of Kuribayashi Arms, Takara Su, saw the potential in Tony Idai's abilities and offered him a substantial capital investment, in return for 20% stake in the new company and a non-competition agreement, giving Idai the chance he needed to launch his firm.

IDAItech rapidly became a household name, with the SlatePad™ operating system becoming one of the most popular computing systems in the country. IDAItech was also the driving force between Brytene's limited nuclear energy programme, consisting of a single facility on Pepper Atoll, and a range of renewable energy supplies such as solar, wind turbine, and hydroelectric generators.

Personal life

Idai was known as something of a playboy in his younger years, but in 2008 he married his Chief Financial Officer, Sarah Salt, and appointed her as CEO of his company. He is known to enjoy fast cars, adrenaline highs, and alcohol. His home is tastelessly crass and covered in LED-lit water features.
