Dong-t'ads Temple (同泰寺) is a major Buddhist temple located in Kien-k'ang, Themiclesia. Established in 503 with imperial patronage, it is a centre of Buddhist faith in Themiclesia and enjoys international renown as one of the oldest surviving temples in the world. Its treasury contains a large number of manuscripts and artefacts of cultural, historical, artistic, and religious value, some dating to the founding of the temple. Though there are no complete, standing buildings of that age, much of the temple complex can be dated to the 8th Century, and some building components even before then. It was designated a World Heritage site in 1967.
