The earliest traces of life in Seytaria go back to 1.2 million years ago and Mintorian colonization began in the 17th century. Mintorian colonization encompassed most of geographical western Meterra including Seytaria's present-day borders. The Revolutionary War or Great War for Independence lasted between 1802 and 1816, which ultimately resulted in the colony's independence.
Once the dust settled, Seytaria was a confederation of hundreds of principalities and free cities. These independencies assimilated into one of two unions, either headed by the councils of Seytantium or the self-proclaimed king-priest of (insert city). The cultural divisions and subsequent tensions provoked a three year long civil conflict, which declared Seytantium as the victor and the first capital of the newly established Republic.
The first and only republic of Seytaria was to be ruled by a high class of merchant federalists who sought to reform the country to promote freedom above equality. The first Seytarrian stock exchanges opened up in 1850, many consider this the birth of the plutocracy.
The last Amendment to the Constitution was made in 1959.

History
Prehistory
The earliest traces of human life go back over 1.2 million years ago in what is now known as the state of (insert state). The early peoples were quickly combated with the harsh and variable climate, capped off with several glacial eras.
Midst the chaotic climatic circumstances, early hominids indulged nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyles. However ensuing glacier periods forced people into closer circumstances; making use of then-underdeveloped social skills to achieve survival. At the end of the final glacial period (9,500 BCE), the climate became milder; from approximately 6,300 BCE, this fraction of Western Meterra entered the Neolithic era and its inhabitants became sedentary.
After strong demographic and agricultural development between the 3rd and 2nd millennia, metallurgy appeared at the end of the 2nd millennium, initially working, gold and bronze, and later iron. This, as well as fishing and later, hatcheries, were the backbone of an ancient Seytarrian economy. Seytaria has several megalithic sites from the Neolithic period, however there are most dense around (insert city) which is also the sanctuary of the ambitious (insert ancient wonder) (approximately 2400 BCE).
