The Jersha are an ethnic group native to Jershaland. The total population of Jershas is estimated to be around 6 million. The language spoken by a vast majority of Jersha is English, although the native Jersha language is spoken by a small minority. The Jersha language is considered by some linguists to be a language isolate, although others consider it an independent branch of the Indo-European languages. It is spoken by fewer than 500,000, being replaced in everyday life by English and usually only spoken in rural areas.
Jershas are distinct from surrounding ethnic groups, contributing to their sense of ethnic and national identity.
