Gul Demir (rendered in Uluujol as Demir Gul, often referred to as "the Steel Rose") was an early socialist leader in Uluujol and was the leader of the Green Flag Revolt. Although she died relatively young (at the age of 39) and her revolt failed, she inspired socialist movements in Uluujol and elsewhere in Ochran, namely Rustonia and Benaajab.

Gul was born to Ogun Demir an official of noble birth in
