The Unitary People's Republic of Seytaria, commonly known as the Republic of Seytaria or Seytaria, is a sovereign country located in Western Meterra. It shares a single land border with the nation of Vivanco. Otherwise, Seytaria borders the Sea of Ember to the west with the Meterran Sea to its east. The country is compromised of nine states, one capital district, and a single free city that spans a combined 185,730 sq mi (481,030 km2) and a total population of 88,852,113 (as of November 2021). Seytaria is a unitary parliamentary constitutional merchant republic with its capital located in Seytantium, the country's largest city, and main commercial center; this, while (insert city) is the cultural and religious haven. Other notable cities include (insert cities).

The earliest traces of life in Seytaria go back to 1.2 million years ago and Mintorian colonization began in the 17th century. Mintorian colonization encompassed most of geographical western Meterra including Seytaria's present-day borders. Numerous disputes, majorly religious ones, combined with sabotaging of communication eviscerated the relationship between Mintoria and its Meterran colony. The Revolutionary War or Great War for Independence lasted between 1802 and 1816, which ultimately resulted in the colony's independence.

Once the dust settled, Seytaria was a confederation of hundreds of principalities and free cities. These independencies assimilated into one of two unions, either headed by the councils of Seytantium or the self-proclaimed king-priest of (insert city). The cultural divisions and subsequent tensions provoked a three-year-long civil conflict, which declared Seytantium as the victor and the first capital of the newly established Republic.

The first and only republic of Seytaria was to be ruled by a high class of merchant federalists who sought to reform the country to promote freedom above equality. The first Seytarrian stock exchanges opened up in 1850, many consider this the birth of the plutocracy. The last Amendment to the Constitution was made in 1959.

Seytaria retains its status as a global center for science and philosophy. It lays claim to the world's largest number of Qaibuci, with 37 million active members of the church of (insert city) as of 2020. Seytaria is a developed country with the world's ninth-largest economy by nominal GDP, and the eleventh-largest by PPP, which helps raise the country's GDP (per capita) significantly. This, in conjunction with private military endeavors and corporate handling of research and development abroad makes Seytaria a leading force in health, science, and culture around the world.

History

Prehistory and early history

The earliest traces of human life go back over 1.2 million years ago in what is now known as the state of (insert state). The early peoples were quickly combated with the harsh and variable climate, capped off with several glacial eras. Midst the chaotic climatic circumstances, early hominids indulged in nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyles. However ensuing glacier periods forced people into closer circumstances; making use of then-underdeveloped social skills to achieve survival. This is widely considered as the first wave of human settlement in Western Meterra and to a greater extent, Seytaria. This was most likely the origin of future waves; later waves brought the ancestors of the S'jaeda, Staalker, and Aplaechas.

At the end of the final glacial period (9,500 BCE), the climate became milder; from approximately 6,300 BCE, this fraction of Western Meterra entered the Neolithic era and its inhabitants became sedentary. Strong demographic and agricultural development began between the 3rd and 2nd millennia, metallurgy appeared at the end of the 2nd millennium, initially working, gold and bronze, and later iron. Seytaria has several megalithic sites from the Neolithic period, however there are most dense around (insert city), then city-state of Alt, which is the sanctuary of the most complex pre-Mintorain archeological site in Western Meterra.

Energy

Emerson Energy Inc. (EEI), the main electricity generator and distributor in Seytaria is also one of Meterra's largest producers of energy. In 2015, the mammoth corporation produced 9% of the continent's energy capacity with an extra 1% surplus. As a seemingly "vital industry", Emerson receives countless dollars in funding for research and development, primarily in the renewable department. Initial market share of all energy produced in Seytaria is 75%. As of 2018, 60% of all the electricity consumed in Seytaria is generated by 58 nuclear power plants; a staple to the country's huge investment in nuclear fission. However, this has limited the country's inquiries into renewable energy sources. Hence the capacity for expending resources for greater research into renewables. Other popular means of producing electricity in Seytaria include hydroelectric, coal, and natural gas. Notable hydro dams include the Lewis Dam and the Pillet River Company. While reserves of coal and natural gas are plentiful in the Aplaechas, the decline in usage and public opinion of both resources has earned them a name as "export [or excess] resources".
