She additionally sits as the Assembly Member for Inverary West. She is the third woman to hold the position of Leader of the Opposition, and the second to hold leadership in the Maritime Social Alliance.
Geddes was born in Inverary, Innsea. She holds a degree in Law from the University of Innsea, and has previously worked in law offices as well as a political staffer. Geddes was elected to the Assembly of Tirmon in the 2008 election, upsetting a 51 year hold over the seat by the United Socialist Labour Party. Following the resignation of Maritime Leader Rasmar MacRìgh in 2012, Geddes announced her candidacy for the subsequent leadership election. Following a wave of viral videos of her campaign, she secured the nomination of the party in the first round of voting, drawing further attention from national media.
