The Jäger-class (Eng. Hunter) is a class of mine countermeasures vessels that are currently in service with the Imperial Shalumite Navy. Because of the way that they were designed and built, the vessels combine the roles of traditional minesweepers and hunters into a single hull. The vessels were all constructed with steel hull and alloy superstructures, and have sufficient ice classifications that allow them to operate year round. Their primary tasks are to handle mine-related emergencies, however they can also perform offshore patrolling and escort missions.

The equipment that Jäger-class ships employ in order to eliminate mines is as state-of-the-art in nature, capable of detecting football sized objects. They are capable of deploying Seahound model mine-disposal drones, which act in a 'fire and forget capacity' by seeking out and destroying hostile mines within three hundred meters of the vessel.
