The Erinys was a supersonic light fighter aircraft built by the Republic of Syara. Originally introduced in 1963, the Erinys was the principle light fighter of the Syaran Army Air Corps for the remainder of its existence. The Erinys was intended to serve as a cheap and low-maintenance aircraft that could be built in large numbers while able to conduct both ground strike missions and air-to-air combat. With more than 800 built, it was the most produced fighter jet of the Syaran Republic.
The Erinys saw extensive service during the Granika Border War, primarily in the form of ground attack. The Erinys saw service on both sides of the Refusal War, where its ease of maintenance made it a popular aircraft. Production ceased after the conflict, and it was retired from service in the Commonality Air Force in 1995. A few aircraft remain operational for testing and training.
