Mazdia, officially the The Democratic Republic of Mazdia, is a sovereign country located in Northern Iteria. Mazdia shares a land borders with Fuss in the West - sharing the Sanchaisima River, Haven in the South, and Chroum Mitreas in the South East, and a maritime border with Itlakan to the North. The state has a population of around 7 million people and growing, evenly distrubuted.

Mazdia's capital is Zephyr, located within the central part of the country, and its largest city is the port city of Brennan, located on the confluence of the Kang and Sanchaisima rivers into the Bay. Zaniba, Aurum, Trivania, make up the nation's other major metropolitan areas.

Etymology

After the fall of Dexter Hunnigan's dictatorship, the then revolutionary group - Red Freedom - nominated Massox Carpenter as interim President of the Daxton. Unfortunately, Massox's body had weakened over 7 years of brutality by the dictator - and he passed away 2 months before the Constitution was adopted. Interim Cabinet proposed the country and currency to be named after Massox, which was well received.

An international business meeting at Proctor.

Following the 'One Nation, One Language' policy of Article 5 of the Constitution, Mercanti was adopted as the official and predominant language in Mazdia to accommodate international relations, trade and tourism. Gojan, Rafhb, Tagapa are also spoken and written - but only to the extent of formal communications. All educational institutions require students to take Mercanti and at least one of 3 above languages.

Indica and Brennae are now near extinct languages which were prominently spoken pre-1500s before transitioning to Mercanti influence from merchants. Uses of both are found at archaeological sites, literary works, and daily informal language such as proverbs and idioms.
