Anton Petrov (Slavic: Антон Петров) is a Slavic professional footballer who plays as a striker for the Slavic Premier League (SPL) club Osipovgrad FK and is the captain of the Slavic national team. He is considered by some to be among some of the best strikers in the world and is almost unanimously considered to be the greatest player in the history of Slavic football, holding numerous records for both the national team and the Slavic Premier League.
Petrov grew in the city of Roksa in the Slavic Union and played for the cities football club Roksa Athletic until 2011, when he transferred to Osipovgrad FK for an SPL record fee of 40 million. In his 10 years at the club Osipovgrad FK has won 8 titles, including an SPL record 7 straight, a streak that is currently ongoing. Petrov has also won every single Velikiy award since 2013.
Petrov has been a member of the Slavic national team since 2010 and was made captain in 2014, he has a Slavic record 98 caps and 48 goals.
In 2021 he was given permission to transfer out of the Slavic Union, something that has never been done before.
Club Career
Petrov was born in Roksa in 1990 and joined the Roksa Athletic youth squad in 1997. He quickly impressed and would be brought up to the senior squad for the 2007 season. He'd score 4 goals that season. He'd break out in the 2010 season, scoring 15 goals, good for 3rd most in the league. After scoring 16 goals the next year he'd transfer to Osipovgrad FK for a Slavic Premier League record 40 million over the offseason.
Osipovgrad FK
2012-2013
Petrov signed a 5 year contract and joined the team for the start of the 2012 season. He'd make his debut on 8 August 2012, and would score his first goal for the club on 19 August. He'd finish the year with 15 goals.
2013-
In 2013 Petrov would score 24 goals and win his first Velikiy award, the first of 7 straight, and follow that up with 20 the next year. In 2015 Petrov would score a Slavic record 39 goals in a season, winning the Veliky unanimously this time.
In 2021 Petrov would request a transfer to a club outside the Slavic Union, and his request would be granted, if a transfer goes through he would be the first Slavic national to play outside the Slavic Union.
International Career
Petrov would be brought up the the senior Slavic squad in 2010 and would be made captain in 2014. The farthest he's gone in the world cup was reaching the quarterfinals in 2016
