The House of Velencei is one of the most prominent Nemesség houses in Hétumoger and has been extant since the Second Kingdom of Hétumoger. They rose to prominence under the Kingdom and was one of the major noble houses in the War of Nobles. Currently the House of Velencei holds a seat in the Országgyűlés and have held the seat of the Seventh Képviselő. Their current Először Nemesség is Géza Velencei VI.

The House of Velencei are known for being the House of Archives, a title bestowed to the house by King János VIII. The Velencei own the largest collection of archived history that dates back to the Hétumoger Empire under Sándor I, which was meticulously collected by the male line of the family. The Velencei most famous collection exists in the Castle Upon the Estate of Velencei Németújvár that was curated by András I, the then Először Nemesség of the Velencei. During the War of Nobles, András I gained fame for being one of the Five Heroes of Hétumoger, becoming the leader of the Revolution after the death of his father Géza III and the subsequent Massacre at Fehérgyarmat that took out much of the leadership of the rebellion. András I would later help to establish the First Noble Republic of Hétumoger and led as the first Országgyűlés Vezetője.

The House of Velencei after András I began to decline in influence as many of the nobles that were born to the House of Velencei were committed moreso to the act of archiving history and literature than to partake in politics.
