Damsair is the flag carrier for The Seven United and Damsmarian geographical region. The airline founded in 2006 by SevCorp and the government of The Seven United, has its headquarters outside Aygon International Airport. Operating a hub and spoke network the airline schedules international and regional flights to and from Damsmar.
History
Damsair was founded on March the 6th 2006 by SevCorp CEO Jeueves D. Hueves and the Seven United government. The airline was initially made as a regional airline to connect the few heavily seperated airports in Damsmar together, increasing connectivity between these regions. The only hub at this time was Aygon International, the then and still the busiest airport in The Seven United. After varied success over two years on a small fleet of six aircraft, the airline then received a three billion Argent investment by the government of The Seven United for increased control of the company.
Using this investment in late 2008, the airline expanded its fleet of aircraft and begun tabling long haul flights from Damsmar to Sunrisia and Dogmana. These new long-range aircraft allowed the airline to expand its frequent flyer programme and its different seat classes. (As of 2018, Business, Comfort+, Economy). The new scheduled flights proved a success with passengers in Damsmar, allowing the airline to allocate more resources to the long haul programme that would eventually see expansion to Ventismar.
In April 2010 the airline founded a new hub at Podzia International to serve the economically growing region of The Montedoran. It proved unsustainable to continue having Aygon as the only hub for Damsair. As well as the opening of the new hub Jeuves D. Hueves put forward a ten year plan to growing Damsair which included the opening of new hubs in the west and east of the country, and to increase the amount of long haul flights available from the new hubs, rather than concentrating growth around one airport.
With passenger growth increasing exponentially in The Seven United, Damsair has seen a large uptick of passenger numbers and in 2018 issued new plans to open an international hub in Dodi Airport, as well as to expand its services to Celstead International and Lindon Airport. Jeuves D. Hueves also detailed a major commitment to the airline. Jeuves unveiled a large investment by SevCorp to expand, improve and modernize many of the Damsair services and is expected to cost the company three and a half billion Argents. The investment has been labelled as crucial to the growth of the airline.
The government of The Seven United also unveiled plans at a similar time to decrease its stake and control of Damsair, opening the company to more private shareholders. Damsair has expressed that to do so may risk the current ethos of the airline.
Long Haul Flights
Upon the founding of the airline, all long haul flights were done by foreign airlines with limited bases in The Seven United. In 2008, the Unitary government for The Seven United issued a three billion Argent investment into Damsair with the understanding that the airline would grow its fleet and begin tabling long haul flights to areas in Sunrisia and Dogmana.
On the 9th of May 2010, using a newly delivered Damsair livery Aerobus Æ540-300, the airline begun its first regular weekly Aygon International to Pacifica > Kingstown route, which was the first long haul flights to Aznazia and Rhodevus. With the new long range aircraft the airline also opened weekly services to Warrentown in Belantica which was a direct flight.
There was large success in the new operations. In 2011 the airline has opened every second day direct flights to Kingstown and Pacfica as well as opening seasonal weekly flights to Acadia and Port Patterson. The airline also opened a new seasonal route to Nuranto in Belantica. Following the success of the long range Æ550-900 aircraft on the 21st of June 2016 Damsair opened direct every second day flights to Burton International in Capsland and Artwingen International in Lindenholt from Aygon and Podzia International Airport. Currently Celstead International only holds the direct Kingstown/Pacifica route.
Currently the Æ540-300 and Æ550-900 provide long haul services, with cabins arranged in a Business Class/Comfort/Economy fashion. The company plans to phase out the Æ540-300 by 2025 and replace the aircraft with the Æ550-900 Neo, which is more efficient and can serve longer distance airports direct, a key to the 2019 goal of Damsair serving direct/one stop flights to Ophion airports, particularly Kiez. At this present time the amount of new long range destinations Damsair can open is limited by the amount of long range aircraft they currently operate, which is eight. Aerobus plans to deliver five more Æ550-900 to the airline by the end of 2019. The money for the new orders is supplied by the major SevCorp 2018/19 investment.
Corporate Affairs
The main base of Damsair is Aygon International Airport, the largest airport of The Seven United which is a short distance away from Aygon City proper. The airline holds its official head office next to Terminal Two, and in 2012 the building was upgraded and expanded to better cope with the increasing size of the airline.
The airline also holds a major presence at Podzia International, Celstead International and is increasing its scope for expansion at Dodi and Tern airports which have both been spoked for major investment by Damsair. The airline also has invested money into the expansion of private airports throughout The Seven United as well as holding heavy influence within regional airports, many of which only use Damsair services.
Jeuves D. Hueves on a comment to S7NN said that "It will become increasingly harder for the airline to grow if the current lack of airports in Damsmar persists. For a country of forty two nearly forty three million people having this little airports is proving a bottleneck for our growth. If the country and airline wants to expand, the amount of airports and the connectivity between airports needs to improve and improve quickly."
Currently, there are only two major airport construction projects ongoing in The Seven United. With one in Roscomona open on the 1st of September 2018, and another being built in Nenahay due to be open on the 8th of December 2018. Both airports are to be utilized by Damsair and other international airlines as a part of the Tridecian government project to open up the airspace for international airlines to increase competition and decrease fares.

2018/19 Major Investment
SevCorp has planned to invest three and a half billion Argents into the airline in order to modernize its current fleet, expand its current services, open new long haul routes and improve the accessibility of flights. Three and a half billion Argents have been earmarked by SevCorp to be allocated to the airline over a short two year period to greatly overhaul the airline. Celstead International, Dodi Airport and Tern airport will see extra money to improve their terminal buildings and aircraft infrastructure in order to cope with extra Damsair flights heading to and from these airports.
Damsair will also invest in new long haul aircraft in order to begin direct flights to more places within the Ventismar Union, currently most long haul flights are through Corentia or to Dogmana. At the moment the airline only flies directly to Artwingen International airport in Lindenholt and Burton in Capsland from Aygon and Podzia International. Damsair says that there is a large and building demand to fly to the continent of Ventismar, and widening the current scope for services could revolutionize the airline ethos.
Some of the money will also be spent on "keeping airports happy". A lot of controversy surrounds SevCorps payments to airports like Celstead International and Dodi Airport. The payments are called under the improvement of services and greater accessibility of routes, however many political parties have maimed it to be illicit payments to stop airports from allowing other airlines from taking over routes Damsair currently have a monopoly over.
As well as investing in new aircraft, older aiplanes will see a modernization especially within the cabins. Of the main target of improvement is the Business class cabins which are beginning to show their age, particularly within the Inflight Entertainment System. Economy cabins are also to be revolutionized with better comfort as well as the more modern IFEs.
The customer service and online website for Damsair is also being upgraded, with a large investment in online and over the phone customer service. The airline currently operates an Online self-check in system, but still requires the passenger to authenticate the printed ticket to a manned check in at the airport. The plans are that by the end of 2019 you can fully check in from online, and you will only be required to use bag drop services before you head through security.

Damsair Regional
Damsair Regional is a subsidiary of Damsair founded in 2015, a short haul low-cost regional airline focusing all of its flights within the Damsmar geographical area. It serves to mainly link smaller airports to Damsair international hubs, providing greater connectivity to the parent airline. Damsair Regional has a fleet of eight aircraft most of which being the older 2006-2008 Damsair short haul fleet. Currently Damsair Regional only operate the Æ520-200 type aircraft.
