All-Professional Baseball League (APBL) is a Zapoten professional baseball organization and the oldest of the major professional sports leagues of Zapote. A total of 30 teams play in the APBL: 15 teams in the Eastern Baseball League (EBL) and 15 in the Baseball Union of Zapote (BUZ). The EBL and BUZ were formed in 1870 and 1892, respectively. Beginning in 1934, both leagues merged to form the APBL, following the end of the Zapoten Revolution. The league is headquarter in Pers, where it was first founded.
Baseball in its current form evolved from earlier Zapoten ball and stick games, that can trace their origin to the 11th and 12th centuries CE. Modern baseball came to be standardise in 1870 with the establishment of the Eastern Baseball League, the first Professional baseball league in the country. Following labor and ownership disputes in the 1880's and 1890's resulted in the rival Baseball Union of Zapote being established in 1892 as a direct competitor to the EBL. Both leagues remained in contention throughout their history. During the tumultuous years of the Zapoten Civil Wars and the Revolution from 1901 to 1931, both leagues cooperated to maintain a functioning system and in 1915 established the APBL, although both leagues maintained their independence from one another as different entities. This came to an end in 1934, when under pressure from the central government, both leagues merged and restructured.
The sport came to be benefited from Communist sports initiatives and grew in popularity in the 1930's and 1940's. The APBL
