Punice, officially the Punician Republic (Punician: Arabic:) is a sovereign state located in North Africa, the northernmost country in Africa. Consisting of a region that made up the center of Ancient Carthage, contemporary Carthage is bordered by the Mediterranean to the north, as well as Numibia and Alania to the west, Algeria to the south, and Tripolitania to the east.
