Takanashi Weapons Laboratory is a weapons research organization belonging to Takanashi Logistics. It is the primary R&D division of the company, and the company owns 75% of it, while the remaining percentage falls under the Imperial Illuverendian Armed Forces' control. Commonly known as TWL, it focuses intensively on weapons research, and is primarily responsible as well for creating and manufacturing designs.
