Tarn is a large free city, or likutat, on the isthmus of Jumanota. It has enjoyed a long history of autonomy, existing as a self-governing city for many centuries and even having to control a significant maritime empire focused on the Thacu Islands and the southeastern Theohuanacu coastline. It was occupied in 2018 by forces of The Golden Throne, soon after the end of the War of Golden Succession, in order to secure a naval base near Adaptes Astrates, a long time ally of Stevid.

The city is known as the 'private military contractor capital of the world,' and among imperial Macabéans as the 'City of War.'
