AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1983 is the twenty-sixth edition of the annual AleziRadio Festival of Songs. The competition was held as usual in 16th of May 1983 by the authorities of Radio Tel Hadiv-Yezateinu. This is the third time that Tel Hadiv hosted the competition after doing so previously in 1961 and 1977. The competition went to Tel Hadiv after the victory of Ashel Amrani with the song "יום אחד, איזה לילה" last year.

The competition was held on schedule even after the assassination and death of Aji Iliya on 15th of April of that year. It was said that there are some proposals to postpone the competition so the nation can mourn longer, however Aji Iilya suggested that his mourning should last two weeks, and ARFOS preparations shall continue like usual. Due to this, preparations are completed in time for he competition.

Yezateinu took the offer of hosting the competition due to the refusal from Tel Hadiv to host the competition due to logistic problems, and thus, Yezateinu took Tel Hadiv's place on hosting the competition. Yezateinu is a city with a population of 323,448 as of 1983, similiar to its sister city and regional capital located just across the Ameshmai Bay, Tel Hadiv with 334,839 people as of 1983. While both cities looks and feels almost the same, Yezateinu offers stronger maritime industry, hosting one of the best Seafood restaurants in North Alezia at the time (and even in the present) which is called "Ben Yozal Seafood Restaurant", which was so famous that British people living in Bristol would travel outside of the Alezian-British wall just to enjoy some freshly (although very expensive at the time) seafood meal.

The competition was held in the newly renovated Biscotti Hall. The biggest performing arts center in Yezateinu at the time, it has the capacity of 1,736 people, ready with an orchestra pit and operational box which means unlike other venues of the previous competitions, reduction of the seats capacity is not needed.
