The Kydonian League (Kydonian: Κυδωνία Συνέδριο) was a confederation of ancient Syara cities and communities in central and nothern Syara formed in 735 BCE. It represented the first real state in Syaran history, formed largely as a response to the devestation left behind by the Bastarnae in the wake of their first invasion in 748 BCE.

The League's formation helped to stabilize the state of unrest that gripped Syara, minting a common coinage and establishing laws of commerce, property, and finance. The League acted as a military and political alliance, with each member state contributing manpower and resources towards a common treasury and money and men to defend the League. During it's heyday, the League was an epicenter of culture throughout Syara, producing classical works of literature, art, and theater, while serving to promote schools of philosophy, language, and learning across north-west Siduri and beyond. The League also represented the formation of democracy and the formenting of democratic ideals, becoming what is known by modern historians as a Classical Republic. The League is generally credited with significantly influencing the shape of ancient Syara and the spreading of Hellenic culture across Tyran through its promotion via trade and the exchanging of ideas by land and sea.

Despite its impressive political and military power on paper, the League was often impeded by significant internal debate and disagreement. The League reached its zenith after the third Bastarnae invasion in the late 5th century BCE, but by 350 BCE competition from Makedon and the Galanian Kingdom had weakened the League's influence. The devestating Aeclesian War (336-308 BCE) effectively ended the League as a significant power in Syara, and by the conclusion of the Fourth Bastarnae Invasion in 285 BCE much of the League was in ruin. What remained of the League was dissolved after it was conquered by Orestes II in 248 BCE.
