Early life
Born into an upper-middle class family, his father her Charles Smith was a classics professor at the University of Bristol and his mother was an NHS Doctor.
He attended Guildford High School where he met his future husband Fares Khan, they began dating in Year 13, when they were both seventeen.
He graduated in 2101, with A-Levels in History, Geography, Philosophy and Politics.
University education
In 2102, he took a course in Sociology and Politics at the University of Birmingham, getting a Bachelors’ Degree in 2105. He then did a four year PHD in Sociology, graduating in 2109.
Career
He lectured at University College London from 2109 to 2114, when he moved to Beirut with his husband and lectured at Beirut Arab University.
Personal life He is married to the famous chef, Fares Khan and has been since 2111.
