Carrington is a city in Freemont County in the Ibican state of West Monroe. Its population was 140,935 at the 2020 census. Carrington is the sixth most-populated city in Freemont County and the xxth most-populated city in Monroe.
Carrington is home to the the Northeast Campus of Freemont County Community College. The city is served by the Carrington Independent School District.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 42 square miles (108.78 km2).

Economy
In addition to its schools, the Northeast Campus of the FCCC, churches, parks, golf courses, recreation center, library, and the Freemont Health System's Heritage Hospital, Carrington also has commercial and industrial sectors, restaurants, and shopping. Carrington Center, a regional shopping mall with over 100 stores, was opened in 1970 at SH 77 and SH 125. In addition to the Carrington Center, the city also features multiple big box stores, serving as the shopping hub of northeast Willmington.
Education
The city is served by the Carrington Independent School District, within which there are four high schools: Carrington High School, Truman High School, North Carrington High School, and Lowry Hills High School.
