Kasaria (Kayig: ՅՍԳ, Kāsiye) is a is a sovereign unitary theostratocracy located in Idica.
Etymology
The historical name of Kasaria is "Gedrosia" (Savolian: Γεδρωσία), the Savolianisation of the !Persian name for north coast of Kasaria. The !Persian name, "Gādar", is a combination of words gāta, meaning "wind," and atar, meaning "gateway," thus "Gādar" meaning "Gateway of the winds." Following the expansion of the First Sabarine Empire into northern Idica, the name "Gedrosia" entered the common vernacular. The successor polities of the Solarian empire would continue to use the name Gedrosia to refer to the geographical area of Kasaria. Gedrosia would remain in use in the following centuries until the Kayig conquest of the area in the 9th century.
The Rythenean word "Kasaria" (Kayig: ՅՏԳ, Kāsiye) is of an unknown origin but two theories regarding its etymology are acknowledged. One theory proposed by Sulatian etymologist Mäkitalo Antto in 1966 proposes the word to be derived from the hypothetical Turkic word *Qasar, reflecting the root qaz- meaning "to roam, to ramble" and relates to the historical nomadic nature of the Kayig tribes at the time of conquest rather than any relation to the pre-migration population present. The second theory, first proposed by Palian linguist Dr. Mauro Castañeda in 1924, proposes that the name Kasaria is simply a phonetic evolution of the original !Persian name "Gādar".
In official parlance, Kasaria simply refers to itself as "Kasaria." However, in both state media and government documents, the title "Rightly Guided State" (Kayig: ՅՏԳ ԼԶԿԼԳՅ, Devlet-i Eyü-Kılağuzli) is used.
