The Weranic Völkisch Freedom Party (Weranian: Ostisch Völkische Freiheitspartei) is a political party in Werania. The main far-right party in Werania, it has been represented in the Chamber of Deputies since 2007. It is led by its founder Albrecht Ströher a former farmer from Prizen.
The party was founded as a neo-völkisch alternative to the mainstream right-wing populist party in Werania, the Democratic Alternative. It initially was a fringe party but became popular due to the 2005 recession becoming the fourth largest party in the 2007 election riding a wave of public discontent. It has since been re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies in every subsequent election passing the 3% electoral threshold each time.
The party is subject to a cordon sanitaire by other parties and has never participated in a government on either a federal or state level.
