Margaret O'Connell (May 26, 1988) is a Niflheimian doctor who worked as a volunteer in the villages within the Karen state and those with significant Asialainja, Verlasser, and Shan populations during the Bethausian Civil War. She was captured by the Sorepatmadaw's 360th Light Infantry Battalion during an attack on the Klaw Kbe Lo village, and made prisoner afterwards. She was later rescued by members of Task Force 219, Task Force 141, and the Karen National Resistance Front during the Battle of the Myenaw Highlands.
She later wrote a book about her experiences in Bethausia, titled Bound in the Jungle, which became a bestseller.
She now lives in Cork with her husband Henry Statham.
